“The kayaking itself took around 1.5-2 hours I think. The water was beautiful (crystal-blue) and so clean that it was even drinkable. There were almost no other people on the river and the immediate area around it which allowed for a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We always felt in safe hands with our guide. The only negative aspect was that even though we were told on the booking receipt that we‘d be contacted by our guide in advance regarding our pick-up, we didn‘t hear anything and also they didn‘t seem aware that we were supposed to be picked up. The drive through Slovenia and Austria to reach the mine was so picturesque and made even better with both the information provided by our driver Sasha, and the stops we made en route on the mountain passes. The black hole kayaking was so much fun, being allowed to go off "on our own" to explore the passages in the dark. Be prepared for walking up and down some steps to reach the kayaking stage but the lunch afterwards was a nice treat and they catered for gluten-free guests excellently too.”
